Writing prompts

A prompt structure image and video models understand easily, with examples you can try straight away.

A good prompt answers the questions a photographer or director would ask before starting. The less the model has to guess, the closer the result is to what you pictured.

Image prompts

Build it from the most important part down:

  1. Subject: what or who, as clearly as possible.
  2. Setting: where, and what is around it.
  3. Light: where it comes from and what the mood is.
  4. Composition: camera angle, distance, and where the subject sits in the frame.
  5. Style: photo, illustration, 3D render, or a particular visual style.

Video prompts

Video needs everything above, plus movement. Write for one scene: one place, one main event.

  • Subject movement: what the subject does from the start of the clip to the end.
  • Camera movement: still, a slow push in, orbiting the subject, or tracking from the side.
  • Pace: slow and calm, or fast and energetic.
The camera slowly pushes in on a cup of coffee on a wooden table by a window. Thin
steam rises from the surface, late-afternoon sunlight falls from the side, fine dust
floats in the air. Calm mood, smooth camera movement with no shake.

For image-to-video modes, the prompt only needs to describe the movement. The first frame already carries what is in the picture.

Language

Prompts can be written in Indonesian or English. For very specific details, such as photography terms or the names of styles, English is sometimes understood more consistently.

Let AI write it

If all you have is a short idea, press Improve prompt in the console. The idea is rewritten into a full English prompt suited to the kind of model, and Undo brings back your original. It costs 0.2 credits.
